Leaders often fear hurting someone’s feelings and don’t provide feedback. But that pain is just pushed down the road. When someone thinks they are performing well and then is surprised when they don’t get a raise or promotion, you will sabotage their trust in you and unintentionally cause them pain.

In this episode, you will learn the importance of feedback and what feedback is and isn’t.

  1. Feedback is not personal, and it is not a judgment.

  2. Feedback is about relieving pain points.

The goal of feedback is to enhance someone else’s performance and to relieve pain. Sometimes, we cause unintentional friction or pain as leaders. If no one is clear with us or brave enough to give us feedback, we will never improve or stop causing unintentional pain.
